The upcoming code night will be hosted by Danske Commodities who are a tech-driven energy trading company.
The night begins with a presentation by Danske Commodities about how to automate the update of external dependencies - and why you should care 🤩
Maintaining software dependencies and code maintenance - urgh, sounds boring right? For most software developers, this isn't nearly as fun as the newest technology or the newest shiny assignment, where we get to build cool and awesome stuff. It's typically something that's not prioritized, and nobody really wants to do it.
In this talk, we'll go into details on why you should care about it in the first place, what could happen if you ignore it, and show you how you can automate it so it won't take all your time away from all the fun stuff you really want to be doing. This automation can be relevant for large business projects but is also relevant and applicable for smaller projects you do at home in your free time.
After the presentation, there will be plenty of time to dive into the subject or meet the employees of Danske Commodities. You can also work on some of your own projects, seek help from the other participants, or just meet new people 🤓
