Platform engineering with GitOps

OK continuously try to improve their ability to deliver business value fast while also maintaining good developer experience. They strongly believe that giving their dev teams the right tools will enable them to take control of their applications and give them the autonomy they need to create great products.

The Platform team strives to support the teams and continues to improve the platform based on feedback from developers.

They have transitioned from using Windows servers on-prem to using an internal developer platform based on Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform within the last 5 years. This has enabled developers to provision infrastructure themselves within the constraints put in place by the platform.

At this Morning Meetup focus will be on what their developer platform looks like today - Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo CD and HELM are some of the technologies that will be highlighted.

Furthermore, they will take a short tour down memory lane and look at where they were 5 years ago and the steps that they have taken since then.

Afterward you will have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers Patrick Kerwood, Cloud architect, and Kasper Hareskov Tygesen, Software architect.
