After a year of massive growth, Danish booking platform will be the largest in Europe

In just one year, the Evarto booking platform has increased revenue by 50% and facilitated bookings worth 340 million DKK.
Founded in 2020, the Aarhus-based company specializes in connecting businesses and individuals with meeting and event spaces in Denmark. The platform’s growth is mainly driven by a subscription-based business model and a targeted effort to increase traffic. In the second half of 2024, Evarto had an average of 95,000 monthly visitors – a significant increase from 65,000 the year before. Evarto announced this in a press release.
“Our experience in online marketing has given us a unique advantage in creating a platform that not only makes booking easier, but also gives venues much wider exposure. By leveraging data, technology and digital strategies, we have been both skilled and lucky to find and fill a gap in the market that many players overlooked,” says CEO Jesper Friis Bruun, who, like his co-founder Kenneth Wernst Christensen, has a background in digital marketing.
He continues:
“We come from a world where digital visibility and usability are crucial. We were born out of digital marketing, and back in 2019 we looked into an industry that was still working with old-fashioned methods. To create the necessary financial capacity in the startup, we created a subscription model, and it really was a game changer for us. It gave us crucial start-up capital to run and further develop the concept. Without that funding, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Want to be the market leader in Europe
Revenue grew from DKK 12 million in 2023 to DKK 18 million in 2024, and Evarto has also expanded its workforce from 18 to 32 people. The company opened a branch in Malmö in 2023 and has ambitions to expand further in the Nordics and Europe, with a particular focus on Norway, Germany and the UK.
“We have only seen the beginning of what Evarto can achieve. Our ambition is to become the market leader in Europe and we have already proven that our digital approach works. With strong growth and new initiatives on the way, we are well positioned to take the next big steps – both in new markets and with new solutions that create value for our customers,” says Jesper Friis Bruun.
As a next step, Evarto is developing “Evarto for Business” – a solution for business customers to make it easier to find and book rooms for meetings, conferences and corporate events. The goal is to reach DKK 35 million in revenue by 2025 and strengthen its position as Europe’s leading booking platform for business events.
