Danish security technology wins international fintech award

Aarhus-based blockchain spinout Partisia has been named the Danish winner of Mastercard’s renowned partnership program for fintech startups Lighthouse FINITIV. With its groundbreaking encryption technology that enables secure and confidential data processing between banks, the company won the award ahead of four other Danish finalists in this year’s spring round.
“The financial technology industry is currently undergoing a fundamental shift and the fintech companies selected for the program are at the forefront of that evolution. I’m excited to see their innovation and solutions,” says Mats Taraldsson, Head of Fintech and Impact Tech Engagement at Mastercard Northern Europe.
Partisia was highlighted for its Multiparty Computation (MPC) technology, which allows sensitive data to be analyzed without compromising data security.
“They challenge the boundaries of traditional banking and payment infrastructure and meet the changing needs and expectations of consumers, businesses and governments,” says Mats Taraldsson.
In addition to Partisia, there was also Danish participation in Lighthouse MASSIV, Mastercard’s parallel impact program, which aims to identify and scale tomorrow’s socially beneficial technologies.
As part of a stronger commitment to digital security and privacy, Partisia has entered into a strategic partnership with TrustStamp. Together they will develop a robust and accessible biometric identity verification solution that can be used across digital platforms.
