Landed in a shared office after a long career: “It adds a little color to everyday life”

A shipping education, an entrepreneurial trip to England and a management position at Tele Danmark.
Henrik Walther Hansen has a long and varied professional career with a common denominator in sales. This is also the case today, where he has established himself as a sales consultant for a number of major companies across industries with Gordios Consulting.

Personal relationships mean a lot to him. That’s why it was important for him to find a shared office space where he could invite customers to meetings and that could give him something social. And that’s what he found at Workspace Haslegården.
“I’ve lived in different office environments for the past 4-5 years, so I know the concept and premise. But at Haslegården I have found a special environment that gives me a professional look, where a receptionist welcomes customers and where I can get feedback from the other companies in the building,” says Henrik Walther Hansen.
Football and feature films
It’s important for Henrik Walther Hansen to have something other than his home office so he can get out and talk to others over lunch. With a lot of travel days, the practicalities need to be easy at the same time. And this is the case at Workspace Haslegården, where lunch, furniture and other necessities are part of the offer. But it was the atmosphere that made him take the plunge.
“The old windows and recycled materials give it something special, it’s not just an ordinary white hallway. I like the atmosphere with the odd angles. It feels creative without being cluttered,” he says.

As a man who alternates between working in the office and out with customers, Henrik Walther Hansen needs to be able to tap in and out of the community whenever he wants. And that’s where the ongoing social events at Workspace can make a difference, he believes:
“We had a wine event last week where I happened to sit and talk to some people who are producing a feature film. It was completely unexpected that there are people working on such a project right here in the house. It adds a little color to everyday life with these kinds of events. That’s exactly the kind of social experiences a working community can open up.”
A small town for businesses
As a sales consultant, it’s important to Henrik Walther Hansen that his company looks professional when he invites customers in. That a receptionist can greet guests before taking them into a meeting room and offering them a cup of coffee.
Being part of a working community has also proven to open up fantastic opportunities for collaboration with other companies in the building.
“I’ve found a company here at Haslegården that helps me with my website and SEO. Of course, I could have found help out in the city, but when we sit together here in the hallway, it’s much easier to go down and knock on the door to talk about it. And then I can help them with some sales training,” says Henrik Walther Hansen.
