Pre-seed and a place in international program: Aarhus startup prepares for growth
Aarhus-based startup UniHelper.io has just secured a pre-seed investment to help solve some of the biggest challenges in student well-being in higher education.
UniHelper.io, a group creation platform, has a mission to foster meaningful relationships among students. According to CEO and co-founder Jacob Nielsen, a solution like UniHelper.io is much needed.
“Today’s students learn differently and face increasing well-being challenges, especially as technology becomes more prevalent in classrooms,” he says in a press release.
Mental health and isolation are among the most pressing issues for students. Studies show that 24% of first-year students drop out due to mental or financial challenges, while 75% of international students feel lonely.
“Educational institutions are navigating budget constraints, declining student enrollment and a growing mental health crisis. Unihelper’s mission is to become the partner of choice for creating meaningful relationships between students in higher education to help solve these challenges,” says Jacob Nielsen of UniHelper.io.

As part of its growth journey, UniHelper.io has also been accepted into Arizona State University’s ScaleU program, an internationally recognized initiative that supports education-focused startups. The program provides access to mentorship, resources, and networks that UniHelper.io will use to refine their platform and expand internationally.
